ready for baby

The nursery is finally done! yay! We're still waiting for our rocking chair but other than that done, and done! Its been really fun seeing it all come together and making things here and there. Oh wait I forgot I still have to make the curtains and the crib quilt but after that done and done!

im 30!

this last weekend i turned 30!! drew was really sweet and organized a birthday bbq bash for me. we had all our family friends and neighbors there! he did such a good job getting organized. he sent out the evite all by himself and organized all the food. he even had a few surprises in store for me. the best surprise was that he flew sunny out for the weekend without me knowing! on saturday i was just hangin out at home when she comes walking through the door. i was so happy! i couldn't believe how thoughtful and sweet of him that was. it made my birthday extra fun. he also managed to borrow a hurse from the mortuary and make some lovely birthday signs for all the neighborhood to see. thanks husband for making my birthday so special you are the best!!!

I thought it might be time for a pregnancy update. Im 35 1/2 weeks now and freaking out that really i could have a baby any day now. Pregnancy has not been my favorite to say the least. Im going to the doctor today for the second time this week because apparently my blood pressure has decided to be high. Dr Yamashiro (who is amazing by the way) has me on close watch so hopefully i can get through a couple more weeks before it gets to high and dangerous! As you can see im HUGE and look like im 40 weeks not 36. Oh well. Today i had 2 chocolate chip cookies for breakfast. I wonder if that has anything to do with it?!

no costa rica for me

sad that i didn't get to go to costa rica but sweet lisa and amanda let me know they missed me. it made me feel good :)

Labor Day

we spent labor day weekend at the beach house. well when i say we i mean me and my fam cause drew is in costa rica without me (boo hoo) i decided not to go just in case baby decided to show her little face early. although dual citizenship would be cool i didn't think i wanted to experience the birth of my first child all in spanish. so i got to go to california instead.

nursery in the works

with about 7 weeks to go we've finally decided to get our butts in gear and start getting the nursery together.

Theres so much more to do its overwhelming but so fun at the same time. more pics to come when we've made more progress

baby's shower

a couple weeks ago i got to go to california and my family threw me a really fun baby shower! it was so nice to see family and friends and it made the baby coming seem really real.

I got lots of really really cute stuff, and some practical stuff too. thanks sooo much everyone for being so generous! I can't wait to use it all!!!!!
