we took our first trip of the year, and niya's first trip to lake powell. other than the speed boat breaking the first day, we had a lot of fun. the weather was perfect, but the water was a little cold still, and drew was a bit of a depression case after the boat broke. he eventually perked up though. the new houseboat is amazing, so it wasn't so bad that we spent all our time on it.
niya got to drive the boat for a while. she's pretty good for an 8 month old
then she was "the king of the world", not thats not leo dicaprio in the background, its drew and YES he has a pony tail, i've lost all control
bath time was so fun in the kitchen sink
life jacket, and dip in the lake, not so fun
looking cute in the jacket but not so sure about whats happening
this is a bad idea

oh but the froggy pool, now thats a good time

That picture of her with the shampoo bottle is one of my favorites. I might have emailed it to myself when I was babysitting the other night.

ReplyDeleteThat Niya girl was a perfect little angel on the boat. I think she thought she was in a giant cradle with the waves rocking and lulling her to sleep. The water should be warm when we go in a couple of weeks again. Loved the pictures!
