boo for shots

last week niya had her second well baby check up. this meant her first set of vaccinations :( i was excited for the appointment to find out how much she had grown since her 2 week check up. but nervous for the shots. she weighed in at a whopping 11lbs 4oz and was 23inches long. she was a little angle face for most of the appointment. all smiles

she had a great time hangin out on the table just kicken her little legs and swingin her arms. she loved being naked because the office is no joke like 90 degrees. i was wearing some furry boots that day and i was sweating like a beast in there. i know they have to keep the naked babies warm but come on! i kinda wanted to die and was a little worried dr pete would notice that i was sweating

at the end of the appointment it was time for the shots. she had 3. as i bent down to put my face next to hers to try to calm her the nurse brutally (well it seemed to me) stabbed her in the leg. niya looked at me with these sad little eyes that said "OUCH! why would you do that to me!?"

im sorry baby girl it wasn't me. it was that mean nurse with the needles in her hand

she cried her little eyes out for maybe 2 minutes then she was over it. we went about our day like nothin happened. what a brave little baby i have :)
